This is a global consulting firm, who work alongside both public and private sector clients, to design, deliver and maintain infrastructure projects worldwide. The company prides itself on its ability to provide a broad range of technical, logistical and managerial challenges, in order to meet the specific needs of all their clients.
Due to an expansion of workload in the Middle East region, my client is looking to recruit a Highways Scheduler. Working as part of a highway design team the role will involve managing the delivery of highway schemes, from minor works to major new roads. You will be liaising with clients, stakeholders and other technical disciplines to deliver innovative designs within time and cost constraints. Other responsibilities will be assisting in the programming of resources and projects to ensure timely delivery. You will be guiding, supervising and directing team members in technical matters to ensure delivery of projects whilst aiding technical development of the team.
The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree and will be at, or working towards, Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status. You will need to have some experience of the Middle East and dealing with complex projects to deadlines, alongside the ability to prepare briefs and manage project costs/ budgets. Experience in highway link design including horizontal and vertical alignment will be required. You will need to have a working knowledge of design standards (DMRB, MfS, TSRGD and Traffic Signs Manuals) and contract procurement, specification, supervision and contract administration experience (NEC Contract, MCHW). An understanding of highway design software, such as MX, WINDES and AutoCAD, is needed
The role will be based in Riyadh but may require travel across Saudi Arabia. On offer is a salary of £6000 to £7000, per month tax free + benefits, although this is flexible depending on the calibre of the candidate. The role will start ASAP.
