My client, the leading UK manufacturer of traffic and pedestrian detection equipment, currently require a Design Engineer in their Design & Development department. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is able to design both hardware and embedded firmware to join this award winning company and work as part of a team to develop next generation products.

To be considered for this position you will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Formal engineering qualification (degree or equivalent)
* At least 3 years experience developing technical products from initial spec. to volume production
* Specific knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be a distinct advantage:
o Analogue and digital circuit design
o Embedded firmware design using 'C' and assembler for embedded control
o Switchmode PSU design
o DSP application and design
o RF/microwave application and circuit design
o Development of PC application software using Visual C/C++
o Mechanical design using 3D modelling/CAD
o Design for Manufacture
